Ingersoll Rand Industrial Technologies provides products, services and

POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To lead the implementation of Lean Six Sigma within assigned location
and sector. To drive Lean Six Sigma tools into high impact projects
focused on eliminating variation/defects/waste. To deliver annual Lean
Six Sigma goals for assigned location and sector.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work on projects tied to critical value streams - assess and map
current state, initiate and execute projects to achieve future state
Lean Six Sigma objectives.
- Complete four to six projects annually, delivering $400k - $800k
annual productivity savings by completing projects tied directly to Hard
OI or Inventory improvement.
- Lead a minimum of 3-4 kaizens per year.
- Transfer knowledge of Lean Six Sigma to others by:
- Providing Lean Six Sigma training to green belts
- Mentoring green belt projects through completion and delivering a
minimum of $50k in savings per project
- Contribute to the development of a pipeline of projects for the
plant/facility/functional area.
- Lead high impact WAR's (With All Resources) and Lean Six Sigma
Accelerator Events with OI or inventory improvements
Scope & Dimensions:
- Day to day support of single location
- May support green belts at other sites
- Annual savings of $400-800k Hard OI
- Network and leverage across sector and enterprise

Problem Solving:
Example #1: A plant is losing $1.5 million per year in metal scrap and
is not aware of a potential fix/improvement. This role would need to
understand the problem, determine root causes, develop and implement a
solution, and sustain improvements in excess of $200K.
Example #2: Plant inventory turns are below objective level. Prioritize
and map critical value streams to identify project opportunities and
execute projects to achieve inventory improvement objectives inside of
current plan year.
Knowledge:
Formal Education Requirement:
- Bachelors Degree required
- Masters Degree preferred
- Must have above average understanding of Six Sigma methodology,
tools, and philosophy.
- Must have Black Belt certification or must complete requirements
for certification within the first 12 months on the job.
Minimum Years of Experience Necessary:
- 5 - 7 years of related operations or lean six sigma experience
required
